The Role Your role As a Mainframe Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for securing IBM z/OS mainframe environments by implementing, administering, and maintaining enterprise security controls. The role focuses on protecting critical business systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing user access, and mitigating security risks across the mainframe infrastructure. What you will do Administer and maintain mainframe security products such as RACF, ACF2. Manage user provisioning, access controls, authentication, and authorization processes. Conduct security audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments for mainframe environments. Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access attempts. Implement security policies, standards, and controls aligned with organizational and regulatory requirements. Perform security reviews of mainframe applications, databases, and infrastructure components. Collaborate with infrastructure, operations, application, and audit teams to strengthen the organization's security posture. Configure and maintain security monitoring, reporting, and alerting tools such as IBM zSecure. Required Technical and Professional Expertise 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in ACF2 security administration, identity management, and mainframe access control within z/OS environments. Strong knowledge of mainframe security principles, compliance requirements, and industry security best practices.
