The Role Your Role: As a Senior Commvault Backup Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration, monitoring, support, and optimization of enterprise backup and recovery environments. You will ensure the reliability, availability, and compliance of backup services while supporting restore requests, incident resolution, capacity management, and continuous improvement initiatives across enterprise infrastructure environments. What Will You Do: Administer and support enterprise Commvault backup environments, including backup policies, schedules, storage policies, retention settings, and client management. Monitor backup operations, identify failures and performance issues, and ensure timely resolution in accordance with service level agreements. Execute, validate, and communicate backup recovery and restore activities, including file, folder, virtual machine, and application restores where applicable. Support onboarding and offboarding of backup clients, including agent deployment, prerequisite validation, backup configuration, and verification activities. Participate in incident, problem, and change management processes, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions. Perform routine platform health checks, capacity monitoring, housekeeping activities, and maintenance of operational documentation. Ensure compliance with backup retention policies, audit requirements, governance standards, and business continuity requirements. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, storage, security, and operations teams to maintain service reliability and improve backup operational efficiency.
