Job Description Key Responsibilities Design and deploy generative artificial intelligence solutions supporting drug discovery and biomedical research workflows Build rapid prototypes and scalable applications combining foundation models, retrieval systems, and workflow orchestration Develop production-ready large language model applications with robust context handling, tool integration, and monitoring Translate emerging generative artificial intelligence and agentic approaches into practical, reusable solutions Apply engineering best practices including testing, benchmarking, version control, and lifecycle management Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful artificial intelligence solutions aligned with research priorities Identify opportunities to enhance scientist productivity using artificial intelligence assistants and workflow automation Contribute to architecture, scalability, security, and reliability of artificial intelligence-powered systems Share best practices, reusable components, and technical guidance across teams working on artificial intelligence applications Evaluate emerging tools, frameworks, and technologies to advance generative artificial intelligence capabilities Essential Requirements 5+ years of experience building and deploying artificial intelligence or machine learning systems in production 2+ years of hands-on experience designing large language model applications including retrieval augmented generation and tool integration Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing scalable services, application programming interfaces, and reusable libraries Experience delivering end-to-end artificial intelligence solutions including prompt design, evaluation, and monitoring Familiarity with generative artificial intelligence frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar ecosystems Experience applying modern software engineering practices including testing, code reviews, version control, and continuous integration Understanding of evaluation metrics for generative artificial intelligence systems including quality, reliability, and cost considerations
