Career Category Engineering Job Description Sr Associate Software Engineer:  Role Description We are seeking an Senior Associate Software Engineer to support the configuration, development, integration, testing, deployment, validation, and ongoing maintenance of the IBM Maximo application in a GxP-regulated environment. The associate will work across key Maximo modules, including Work Order, Asset, Location, Purchasing, and Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). The role requires knowledge of Maximo configuration and development capabilities such as Application Designer, Database Configuration, Automation Scripts, workflows, security configuration, and integrations. The associate will collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, developers, QA, validation, infrastructure, integration, and support teams. The role includes Agile delivery, application support, defect resolution, testing, validation documentation, controlled deployment, and production monitoring. This role is not limited to supporting a single application or technology platform. The associate must demonstrate a strong learning mindset, adaptability, and the willingness to continuously develop new skills and capabilities. As business needs evolve, the individual will be expected to embrace cross-skilling opportunities, contribute across diverse technology domains, and support strategic initiatives while maintaining a high standard of quality, compliance, and delivery excellence. Roles and Responsibilities Maximo Configuration and Development Configure, develop, test, deploy, and maintain IBM Maximo solutions. Support key Maximo modules, including:Work Order Asset Location Purchasing Inventory-related processes, where applicable Maximo Integration Framework Configure applications using Application Designer. Perform object, attribute, domain, relationship, index, and other configurations using Database Configuration. Develop and maintain Automation Scripts using Python/Jython. Configure and support workflows, escalations, actions, conditional expressions, communication templates, cron tasks, and scheduled jobs. Configure security groups, application access, signature options, user permissions, and data restrictions. Evaluate business requirements and recommend solutions using standard Maximo configurations, automation scripts, integrations, or customizations. Follow coding, configuration, documentation, security, and technical-review standards. Create and maintain solution designs, configuration documents, deployment instructions, rollback procedures, and support documentation. Integration Development and Support Configure, develop, test, and support integrations using Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). Work with Object Structures, Enterprise Services, Publish Channels, External Systems, Endpoints, Integration Controls, APIs, and message queues. Support integrations between Maximo and SAP, middleware, data platforms, reporting tools, and other enterprise applications.
