Software Engineer - Backend

Job Description Summary Responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications & services. Working in the areas of machine, cloud, platform and/or application. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Contribute, design, and development of RESTful APIs and microservices using C#, .NET, ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC), and Entity Framework Understanding of engineering best practices: SOLID principles, design patterns, code reviews, technical standards, and documentation Own end-to-end delivery: requirements, design, implementation, automated testing (unit, integration, UI), performance, and deployment Design for reliability, scalability, and security in AWS; containerize and ship services with Docker Work across data stores (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle), including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning Implement and improve observability (logging, monitoring, alerting) and drive operational excellence Integrate AI/ML capabilities where appropriate to enhance product features and developer productivity Ensure secure development practices including SAST/DAST and remediation of findings Mentor and coach engineers; lead technical initiatives and collaborate with product, UX, and stakeholders Must-have qualifications: 2-5 years of relevant experience Deep C# &.NET expertise with ASP.NET Core (Web API, MVC) and Entity Framework Strong RESTful API and Microservices design and development Experience with modern front-end frameworks of ReactJS Solid grasp of SOLID principles, design patterns, and microservices architecture Strong SQL skills across SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Automation experience: unit, integration, and UI test frameworks Cloud experience with AWS/Azure Docker\Kubernetes experience for containerizing applications Proven ability to lead initiatives and deliver high-quality, scalable solutions DevOps/CI/CD tools: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, JFrog Artifactory, Groovy Nice to have Monitoring and logging tools: Splunk, Prometheus, ELK Stack Build front-end experiences using JavaScript/TypeScript with ReactJS Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript Load/performance testing (e.g., JMeter) Security best practices in SAST and DAST Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Experience working independently in fast-paced, cross-functional environments Practical AI skill set (e.g., integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications) Skilled in breaking down problems, documenting problem statements and estimating efforts Demonstrates awareness about competitors and industry trends Has the ability to analyse impact of technology choices Leadership: Ability to takes ownership of small and medium sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping team members Ensures understanding of issues and presents clear rationale.
