Senior Engineer, Quality Engineering

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10The Team: You will join a cross-functional team building new capabilities for some of the biggest names in the financial industry. This is a hands-on Dev testing role in the financial domain, working closely with development and product colleagues, including teammates across the globe. Responsibilities and Impact: Build and execute automated and manual tests across UI, data, and API layers, switching between the two as team needs require Create, review, and recommend test plans, strategies, and test case documentation Identify, build, and run automated regression and smoke suites Log and prioritize defects, and report quality status and progress to management Take part in Agile ceremonies and release planning, raising quality topics within the team Work closely with development and product teams, and with colleagues across the globe, to meet delivery deadlines while gaining exposure to the financial markets domain What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: 6+ years of experience testing applications with automation frameworks, with a strong understanding of SDLC and hands-on Agile/Scrum experience Hands-on automation and white-box testing using Java or Python, plus API testing (REST, Swagger, JavaScript/Node.js) Automation across the testing pyramid (unit, service layer, UI) and strong test design techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning Basic SQL query skills and experience with Git or similar source control Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision and stays focused on delivery Collaborates effectively with globally distributed teams Additional Preferred Qualifications: Automation experience with Selenium or Playwright Exposure to AWS and BDD Experience with CI tools (GitHub, etc.) and full-stack testing from database through service layer to UI Basic financial market knowledge, especially CDS About S&P Global Market Intelligence At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
