The Role Your Role As a Mainframe Application Support Engineer at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients – which means some of the biggest in the world. There’s never a typical day as a Mainframe Application Support Engineer at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients. What You Will DO Provide L2/L3 production support for mainframe applications built on Natural and Adabas, ensuring high availability and operational stability. Monitor application performance, troubleshoot incidents, and resolve production issues within agreed SLA timelines. Perform root cause analysis of application failures and implement preventive solutions to minimize recurring issues. Support batch processing, online transactions, job scheduling, and production release activities across environments. Collaborate with business users, development teams, and infrastructure teams to drive timely issue resolution and service improvements. Maintain operational documentation, support change and release management processes, and ensure compliance with security, audit, and business continuity requirements.
