We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Workato Integration Engineer to join our IT / Enterprise Applications team. This role is responsible for designing, building, and scaling enterprise integrations across Five9’s business application ecosystem using Workato, while establishing the integration standards and best practices that support the company’s continued growth. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of integration experience, a Workato certification, deep technical expertise across modern integration patterns and security practices, and the ability to lead technical discussions with both architects and business stakeholders. The position is based in Chennai or Bengaluru, India, and requires working hours that overlap with the US Pacific time zone, where our Technology teams are primarily based. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade integrations and automations using Workato across Five9’s business application ecosystem. Define and maintain integration standards, reusable patterns, and design guidelines so integrations remain scalable and maintainable as systems evolve. Standardize error handling across recipes, including retry logic, dead letter queues, compensating transactions, alerting, and logging. Optimize Workato recipes for performance and cost, minimizing unnecessary API consumption and job usage. Support and maintain integrations between UKG Pro, Deel, Greenhouse, Degreed Learning Experience Platform, Replicon, and other business applications, partnering with Business Technology teams as needed. Design and implement secure authentication patterns (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML, API keys, certificates) and manage secrets in accordance with least privilege principles. Design an enterprise integration architecture and lead technical discussions with architects and business stakeholders. Troubleshoot complex, cross-system production issues and drive them to resolution. Improve the quality and consistency of integration and data documentation, leveraging AI tools such as Copilot where appropriate.
