Director, Software Development

We are seeking an accomplished Software Development Director to join the OneSpan India Software group in Noida. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading enterprise software product and cloud engineering teams, with a strong track record of delivering products using agile methodologies. He / She should have experience managing teams of 20-40 engineers and be passionate about building high-quality software products in fast-paced, AI First and evolving environments. The right candidate should be passionate about software and technology product development, excellent communicator, comfortable with ambiguous environments, and can move fast, bring people and technology together. About the Role Software Development Director is responsible for co-developing the vision and leading software product development teams in a specific site. He/she develops and communicates the strategic direction for the software teams He/she has final accountability for the delivery, the performance & the people leadership of the different squads. He/she works closely with various teams to maximize engagement and defines skill growth and location strategies Specific details about the role are as follows: · Lead engineering teams responsible for the OneSpan Cyber Security Suite and cloud services deployed on AWS. · Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and DevOps leaders across global teams to define and adopt scalable architectures, engineering standards, and best practices. · Own software delivery, execution, quality, and engineering effectiveness. · Provide leadership that drives collaboration, innovation, and organizational growth. Key Responsibilities: Thought Leadership: · Identify emerging technology trends and assess their impact on the business. · Contribute to technology strategy and prioritize engineering initiatives aligned with business goals. · Establish and promote engineering methodologies, standards, and best practices. People Leadership: · Develop engineering talent and foster high-performing, engaged teams. · Build organizational capabilities aligned with future business and technology needs. · Support people processes including performance management, talent development, onboarding, and workforce planning. Results Leadership: · Deliver product features and releases efficiently while maintaining quality and scalability. · Drive accountability for engineering outcomes with an AI-first mindset and adoption of AI-assisted development practices. About the Successful Candidate The successful candidate is a self-motivated leader who can deal with complex problems, has a vision to take the organization to the next level. He/She should be able to understand complex security domain including key protocols in identity management and authentication.
