Must have skills : SAP ABAP Development for HANA Good to have skills : NA Minimum 12 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: Manage SAP ABAP for HANA diagnostic and modernization workstreams, translate technical evidence into executable remediation plans, and lead delivery teams through controlled recovery. Roles & Responsibilities: - Manage reviews of classical and modern ABAP objects including reports, enhancements, interfaces, forms, ABAP Objects, CDS, AMDP and OData services. - Analyse performance using ST05, SAT, SQL Monitor, runtime analysis and HANA-aware coding principles prioritise bottleneck remediation. - Review Open SQL, code pushdown, CDS associations and annotations, DCL, AMDP and database access patterns for performance, security and maintainability. - Maintain evidence-based RAG ratings, technical findings, risks, dependencies, decisions and prioritised remediation backlogs. - Develop modernization plans for ECC-to-S/4HANA compatibility, custom-code adaptation, simplification, regression testing and release sequencing. - Facilitate client and SI workshops, assure code and test deliverables, prepare steering materials and escalate material risks. - Apply SAP Generative AI and Joule for Developers for code explanation, predictive completion, ABAP Unit tests, dependency analysis, refactoring, optimization and migration support. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: SAP ABAP Development for HANA, classical ABAP, ABAP Objects, modern Open SQL, CDS views, AMDP, performance tuning and SAP S/4HANA custom-code adaptation. - Good to have Skills: RAP, OData V2/V4, SAP Fiori/UI5, SAP BTP extensibility, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Cloud ALM and CI/CD. - Strong knowledge of RICEFW objects, DDIC, reports, module pool, enhancements, BAdIs, SmartForms or Adobe Forms, IDoc, BAPI, RFC, ALE, background jobs, locking and update tasks. - Experience with code pushdown, CDS associations and annotations, DCL, analytical models, AMDP trade-offs, HANA SQL and performance analysis using ST05, SAT, SQL Monitor and runtime tools. - Experience with ATC, SCI, CVA, Clean ABAP, secure coding, automated testing, transport governance and controlled exception management. - Experience with SAP Generative AI capabilities, including SAP Business AI, SAP Generative AI Hub, prompt engineering, grounding, orchestration and responsible integration into SAP delivery. - Knowledge of Joule for Developers, including code understanding, predictive code completion, ABAP Unit test generation, dependency analysis, code optimization and custom code migration assistance.
