Must have skills : Oracle Applications DBA Good to have skills : Microsoft SQL Server Minimum 3 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: As a member of our Global Database Services team, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and continuous improvement of enterprise database platforms. You will help ensure the availability, security, scalability, and performance of mission-critical database environments supporting business and logistics operations worldwide. This role combines hands-on database administration with strategic engineering initiatives, including platform modernization, cloud adoption, automation, database standardization, and the continuous evolution of our Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) platform. As the database subject matter expert within the team, you will partner with application teams, infrastructure teams, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure, and scalable database services while driving operational excellence and innovation. Roles & Responsibilities: Database Architecture and Engineering Design, implement, and maintain enterprise database environments in accordance with business requirements and enterprise standards. Develop database architectures that support high availability, scalability, performance, and security requirements. Partner with software vendors, solution architects, and internal stakeholders to define and implement standardized database solutions. Contribute to strategic initiatives including platform modernization, cloud transformation, and database standardization projects. Database Administration and Operations Administer and support enterprise databases across development, test, and production environments. Ensure the stability, availability, performance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise database landscape. Monitor database health and proactively identify and resolve potential issues. Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures to minimize operational risks. Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation after completing onboarding and knowledge transfer activities. Performance Optimization and Capacity Planning Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance and resource utilization. Perform capacity planning to support business growth and increasing transaction volumes. Identify and resolve database and application performance bottlenecks. Develop and implement performance tuning strategies to improve efficiency and scalability. High Availability, Backup, and Disaster Recovery
