Project Role : Custom Software Engineer Project Role Description : Develop custom software solutions to design, code, and enhance components across systems or applications. Use modern frameworks and agile practices to deliver scalable, high-performing solutions tailored to specific business needs. Must have skills : SAP BTP Integration Suite Good to have skills : NA Minimum 12 year(s) of experience is required Educational Qualification : 15 years full time education Summary: Manage event-driven and B2B integration workstreams covering Event Mesh, partner connectivity, EDI and asynchronous process recovery. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. Design event-driven patterns, topics, queues, subscriptions, delivery guarantees, replay, dead-letter handling and consumer isolation. 2. Manage B2B or EDI scenarios using Integration Advisor, Trading Partner Management and approved standards, mappings and agreements. 3. Assess synchronous versus asynchronous choices, message ordering, duplicate handling, correlation, back-pressure and throughput requirements. 4. Maintain partner onboarding status, RAG ratings, risks, defects, dependencies and remediation backlogs with traceable evidence. 5. Assure end-to-end partner tests, volume and resilience tests, reconciliation, monitoring, support procedures and cutover readiness. 6. Coordinate business, architecture, security, operations, partner and vendor teams and escalate material delivery risks. Professional & Technical Skills: 1. Must To Have Skills: SAP BTP Integration Suite, Cloud Integration, enterprise integration patterns, iFlow design, message mapping, security, monitoring, testing and SAP S/4HANA integration. 2. Good to have Skills: API Management, Event Mesh or Advanced Event Mesh, Integration Advisor, Trading Partner Management, Open Connectors, Edge Integration Cell, SAP Cloud ALM and PI/PO migration. 3. Experience with REST, SOAP, OData, IDoc, RFC, SFTP, HTTP, JMS, XML, JSON, CSV, XSLT, Groovy scripting, certificates, OAuth 2.0 and mTLS. 4. Experience with reusable integration standards, version control, transport or CI/CD, non-functional testing, operational monitoring, incident management and audit evidence. 5. Demonstrated experience in distressed integration diagnostics, stabilization, turnaround planning, remediation governance and recovery execution, with evidence of improving interface reliability, defect containment, operational stability, cutover readiness or stakeholder confidence. AI and Digital Expectations: 1. Use SAP Generative AI, Joule, Microsoft Copilot and other approved AI tools to analyse integration designs, mappings, scripts, logs, defects, test evidence, RAID records and operational data identify patterns, dependencies, inconsistencies and anomalies. 2. Apply human validation, confidentiality, security, bias awareness, traceability and compliance with client and organisational policies to all AI-assisted outputs.
